Singer joined Foundation Capital’s finance team in 2005, and is responsible for the firm’s financial management, reporting, and information technology. He is also involved with the firm’s operational and administrative management, including human resources and facilities. He brings more than 15 years of experience in Venture Capital finance, having started his career at Mohr Davidow Ventures in 2001.
Singer found his love for finance and accounting at an early age (10) while working the neighborhood newspaper route in his hometown of Milwaukee, WI. He enjoyed collecting and counting the money from customers, and analyzing how much he could save or spend on his baseball card collection.
What he loves about his job:“The people I work with and relationships I’ve built.”
Profile: Singer loves spending time with his wife and kids, golfing, and long runs. He is a proud shareholder of the Green Bay Packers, and while 15+ years in California may have dulled Singer’s Midwest accent, he seems to revert rather easily when wearing his foam cheesehead on gamedays.
Best piece of advice he ever got: “Think before you speak.”
Training: BS of Finance from Santa Clara University
