I’m thrilled to announce that we’ve recently added two young investors to the team, Morgan Lai and Sid Trivedi. Both Morgan and Sid will be working alongside myself and the rest of the partnership to find promising enterprise founders and help build great companies, particularly in the areas of security and AI/ML.

Morgan started her career at Flux Factory, helping enable architecture professionals to activate data to dramatically improve construction. From there, Morgan joined Loop AI Labs Cognitive Computing as an AI scientist, working on developing its cognitive platform. Before joining Foundation, Morgan founded and led HearInsights, an AI-enabled meeting assistant that uses voice capture to automatically generate meeting notes. Morgan has a Master of Engineering in Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence from MIT, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from MIT. Morgan has a particular passion for dev ops tools and for applying machine learning to automating enterprise processes.

Sid’s experience has run the gamut from public to growth to early-stage, affording him a unique perspective on how brand leaders are built and sustained. He started his career on Wall Street at Barclays Capital, advising on tech, media, and telecom companies and spending time on both the buy-side and sell-side of major deals. He then worked as an investment professional at Symphony Technology Group, a Palo Alto-based private equity firm investing in software, technology-enabled and data analytics companies. Before arriving at Foundation Capital, Sid was an investor at Omidyar Technology Ventures, where he invested in and counseled early-stage enterprise software companies, with a particular focus on cyber-security. Outside of work, Sid serves on the advisory council for Entrepreneurship at Cornell and as a board member of the Cornell Venture Capital Club, which he co-founded during college. Sid has a special focus on security and data center infrastructure.

Please join us in welcoming Sid and Morgan to the Foundation Capital family!
