Ambarish Malpani, Entrepreneur-in-Residence

Ambarish Malpani has over 25 years of experience in software development and management. He was the CTO and VP Engineering at Cenzic, Inc. and co-founded ValiCert in 1996, which he helped take public in July 2000. Ambarish also has a wide range of experience in the software engineering and development area - all the way from creating standards in IETF, to creating the first multi-threaded version of Apache. Ambarish has a M.S. in Computer Science from U.C.S.B. and a B.Tech in Computer Science from I.I.T. Bombay.

Ambarish has been working in security for over 15 years and has a keen understanding of that area. He has also been working on mobile security for over 4 years. His current interests lie in the area of machine learning.

Outside of work, Ambarish is: A doting dad, an Android bigot, a Kindle/Nexus 4/Mac Air worshiper, a cranky runner/swimmer, a periodic meditator and a strong believer in equal opportunity.
