Software and Networking Veteran Skip Glass joins Foundation Capital as Operating Partner

Glass to Advise Portfolio Companies, Assess Potential of New Investments

Menlo Park, CA — November 26, 2007 — Foundation Capital, a venture capital firm committed to early stage company building, today announced that Skip Glass has joined Foundation Capital as an operating partner. Glass brings more than 20 years of experience as an entrepreneur, investor and advisor to dozens of leading software, networking and security companies to Foundation Capital. As an operating partner, Glass will be advising Foundation Capital portfolio companies and helping to assess potential new investments.

Before joining Foundation, Glass was with Canaan Partners where he represented the firm on the boards of Voyence, acquired by EMC; Groundwork Open Solutions; Vue Technology; and Vidient. As an early stage investor, Glass has funded several technology startups including Sygate, acquired by Symantec; SleepyCat Software, acquired by Oracle; Azimyth; Retention Education; and eHealth Insurance, which went public on NASDAQ in 2006.

Glass has an extensive background driving operations for leading technology companies. He served as CEO and president of URoam, which was later acquired by F5. Prior to URoam, he served as chief operating officer of Kiva, a company that provided server and application development tools which was later acquired by Netscape. Glass has also served as vice president of field operations at Illustra, a database company which was acquired by Informix. Prior to this, he was vice president of marketing at Sybase. Glass began his career in technology as a trading area manager with IBM.

In addition to his work in venture capital, Glass has been very involved in supporting a number of charitable organizations and was a recipient of the J. William Brownsfield award for outstanding civic contributions. Glass holds a B.S. degree from Sacramento State University and an MBA from University of Arizona.
