Foundation Capital Adds Ashmeet Sidana as Venture Partner

Menlo Park, CA - February 16, 2005 - Foundation Capital announced today the addition of Ashmeet Sidana as a venture partner. Sidana joined the firm as an entrepreneur-in- residence in 2004. In his new role, Sidana will focus on investments in datacenter infrastructure, enterprise software, systems, and emerging wireless technologies.

Sidana complements the broad industry knowledge and operating experience that current Foundation Capital partners have in software, semi conductors, telecommunications, and data networks.

Sidana comes to Foundation Capital with a combination of 15 years of experience in enterprise software and core systems technology. His experience spans line-of-business management, marketing, product strategy, and engineering. He was most recently at VMware and previously worked at Sidana Systems, Silicon Graphics, and Hewlett-Packard. In addition to an MBA from the Wharton School, Sidana received a master's in computer science from Stanford University and a bachelor's in computer science from the University of Southern California.
